Privacy Policy for the Reaction Time Test
Short version: Test Reaction does not ask you to create an account. It does not collect your name, and it does not send your test results to a server. Your results stay in your own browser. The test that produces these results is described on the About page.
The one-line rule: your test results belong on your device, not on our server. Everything below follows from that.
What is stored, and where
| What | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Date, average and best time, in milliseconds, of each finished set (up to 10 sets) | Your browser's local storage, on your own device | Until you clear site data |
| A message you send via the Contact form | Stored privately for Test Reaction | Until it is deleted |
| Your name or account details | Not collected by the test | — |
Stored on your device
Finished sets only: date, average, and best time. That is so the homepage can show your history and best average on that device.
Not collected
No name, address, date of birth, or account details through the test. No tracking cookies to follow you across other websites, and no sale of personal data.
No external code
Test Reaction loads no external JavaScript libraries and no external fonts.
Shared devices
Anyone using the same browser profile could see the saved history on the homepage. Clear site data after use, or use a private window, which discards local storage when it closes.
Your rights and questions
You can view, keep, or delete your saved history at any time using your browser controls. No request to Test Reaction is needed, because Test Reaction does not hold a copy. Questions about this policy can be sent through the Contact page, and how you may use the test is covered in the Terms and Conditions. Please do not include sensitive personal information in any message.
Children: this is a general-audience test and guide site. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and it does not require an account at any age.
